Christmas Again

Well this past weekend we finally got to celebrate Christmas with all my neices and nephews. And of course that means that they all have to pose for a photograph until Aunt Dee is happy! They all know that it is coming, and they can't have any presents until it is done. One would think that since they are all getting older this task would become easier, but not so much. I think it was easier when they were all younger.

So this is the picture, let's see if I can get all of the ages correct.

In the back, Emily 9, Garrett 9,

middle row from the left, Jack 15,Brandy 13, Elizabeth 20, Bobby 17

Front, Levi 7, Marc 2, Conner 3

I am sure that I will have a couple of them incorrect, but they are all close, and they are all getting big fast, where do the years go.

I think that my mom and Elizabeth spent a portion of the evening texting each other from across the room.

Well I think that everyone had a good time, we really should all get together more often, perhaps this is the year to make it happen.

Matching Hats

Conner has been having a problem at daycare with loosing his hat! Problem solved, Dan's mom made him a hat with his name knitted on it, no one is going to go home with his hat again.

She had made the hats for Elizabeth and Garrett years ago, and now Conner has one to match his coat. When Conner's arrived in the mail, Garrett immediately dug his out and has been wearing it!

My goal is to get Elizabeth to put her's on and get a picture of all three of them together, anyone think that is going to happen. (Come on Elizabeth, it is just one picture, find your hat.)

Thanks Grammy Elaine!

Snowy Weekend

Everyone enjoyed sledding.

I even went outside, I have decided I need snowpants.

Garrett is practicing his snowboarding.

Conner is getting better at getting back up the hill.

Dakota and Harley look as if they want back in the house, and when they are in, they just want out!

Iced In

Well no school for everyone today due to icy weather. I would l ike to say I am excited about that, but no chance, it just means kids in school longer in the summer when it is hot, and that is no fun!

Dan went out to attempt to clean some of the ice off of the deck, just in case we would have anyone stop by..... for those of you who know where I live that is just funny, no one ever just stops by especially at this time of year!
The dogs enjoyed attempting to walk on the deck.
After Dan had started to clean it off, they thought that the chunks of ice were toys.

New Year's Eve 2008

Well it was another fun New Year's Eve with the McCaffrey family. We started by going to the movies to see Marley and Me. It was a good movie, although I thought that it was a "kid" movie, and I am not sure that I think all of the movie was "kid friendly." Perhaps I am showing my age in this comment, but there were some young, under 6 children in the theatre.

After the movie it was back to our house for a full out eating fest! Karen and I always have enough food for 15 more people. This just leads us to a lot of over eating! Karen thought it would be nice to let the kids make smores, she has a nifty machine using sterno to make this happen. Needless to say, it was a hit with the kids.
Conner enjoys!

Same goes for Garrett.

Nicole amused Conner most of the evening!

The adults played Guitar Hero.

Craig and Karen had FUN with the Nerf guns!

I couldn't believe the amount of running two adults would do in a house!
Look out here she comes!
I decided to help Craig get Karen. Oh yeah, don't you love my hat!
The kids were ready with grape juice at midnight.
Ok, finally the adults bring in the new year with the jello shots left from my department party. Now before anyone thinks that we all were drinking excessively due to the Nerf game, we did not. We ate a couple of jello shots, the guys drank collectively 8 beers and then we went to bed.
I think everyone had a great time, I can only hope that everyone else had the same fun that we did.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
