Exciting Morning

Well it was an exciting morning for me. This was the first time since Conner could talk that he didn't get out of bed and ask to watch Barney! He asked to watch Buzz Lightyear. I am sure that this won't last, but I am excited for the next 30 minutes that he might watch the television, besides Barney. He wanted Garrett's toys all lined up on the couch with him for the morning showing of Toy Story 2.

This was last night on the deck. Conner just takes in what everyone is doing and at the campground all the boys do is jump their bikes. So this is Conner doing wheelies on the deck. He really tries.

Getting ready, "Nanny watch me do a wheelie."

"See I can do it just like Uncle G."

" And now I can horsehop!"

Just needs to be nailed together.

Garrett enjoys the deck!

Fun for the Kids

Well it was another weekend at the camper. Garrett and Conner played so hard the both slept on Saturday morning until after 9:00, and that is really unusual! Saturday night Conner fell asleep sitting up. I sat him down, went to get him some milk and he was asleep before I returned with his cup. Jeri & Jim now have a camper permenatly at the campground, so now when the kids travel it is like a pack, and there is nothing quiet about them all together, but I think they have fun. This is the picture of all of the kids from Saturday morning.

We had to come home early on Sunday morning, so that we could go to Garrett's soccer party. Luckily it turned out to be a great day, no rain in sight! All of the boys had a good time at the party.

Dan 's days off this week are Monday - Thursday so he and Garrett are headed back to the camper in the morning. The weather is predicted to be nice, so I hope they will have a nice quiet week swimming and fishing. Maybe Conner and I will go over for a visit and they can make us dinner, ha ha.

Jeff and Conner

These pictures are from Memorial Day, but Jeff reminded me again this weekend that he didn't make the BLOG, and I hate to see a grown man cry!

Conner loves to go for golf cart rides, he just looks for people to pick him up!

Some Week

Well we have had some week around here. Last Saturday Elizabeth had a car accident, SHE IS JUST FINE, but the car is another story! This was followed by the bad storm in the middle of the week that has done a number on the NEW swingset that there are pictures of in our last post. Which was followed by 27 hours of no electricity! We had to cart all of our food out of the house so it didn't ruin because we had the freezers open to put groceries in them right after the loss of power. I am getting shirts made that say I LOVE THOMAS EDISON! You should have seen us walking around the house in the dark with the Thomas the Tank flashlights that blew a whistle when we used them or the cow flashlight that moos, it was a big hit, all of our regular flashlights were at the camper. After the power came back on things calmed down a little. We got ready and headed for the camper for yardsale weekend. We got rid of a lot of stuff, which made Dan very happy.

The Swingset Construction

Building the frame!

Almost all done!

Ready for sliding.
Conner and Poppy take a break!

Home Improvements

While I don't have my pictures ready yet, it has been a busy week at our house! We got a wooden swingset for the kids and it took Dan 4 nights to get it put together. The kids love it! Following the swingset we planted a perennial garden beside the garage and then Dan got nice red mulch to put around it, it looks great! For the past three days, while he was off, Dan has started building us a deck. I can't wait until it is done. Today when I came home he had the framing all completed. He just needs to screw all of the parts together for the frame and then it will be ready for the deck boards. He goes back to work tonight, so now the progress will slow down, but at least it is started and he doesn't seem to think it will take him very long to at least have the platform part of it completed. He is thinking by this weekend. As soon as I get the camera downloaded to the computer I will have to post some pictures.
