The Grandkids

Isn't he just the cutest thing? He loved posing for the camera. This is probally the only year that that will happen. By next year he will walk and won't want to be still at all.

They were all ready on Christmas Eve in their "magic pajamas" so that Santa could find them!

Family Photo!

Well it was time again for the yearly family photo. For some reason we generally get a good one at Lois's on Christmas Eve. Conner has a good grip on Poppy's ear!

Holiday Party Fun!

We went to the Elementary Building Christmas Party.
This year it was held at Rolling Pines.
I think a great time was had by all, to bad Dan had to leave to go to work.
Anyone who knows me knows that I will go to any party where I get to put on a party dress, I have a closet full to them, and I love to wear them. I wish we had more opportunity to get dressed up, although I am not sure Dan feels that way.

Trick or Treating

Elizabeth was all ready for the parade on Friday night. Her appartment is in the perfect place, front row seats, for the 5 minute parade!

Gavin was not that excited with his costume! It kept covering his eyes and that really ticked him off!

Everyone went inside the store for one picture. There was no way Dracula, a Gorilla, a monkey and the monkey and gorilla's mother were all going to look at the camera at the same time! The Gorilla needed to go to BED!

Closing the Camper.

As most of you know, Dan NEVER has off on the weekend. So, that left Garrett and I to close up the camper this year. I think that we did a pretty nice job. I guess we will really be able to tell in the spring when we have to open it and unpack all of the stuff I stuffed away.

Garrett had a good time raking leaves for most of the weekend. He went to Craigs and helped with his and then came and did ours!

I think that all of his hard work was just so he could jump in the enormous pile!

My New Favorite Picture!

Well there they are, the boys! All three of them being still and looking at the camera, not an easy thing to accomplish!

Garrett's First Dance

Well in 5th grade there are dances. The first one that Garrett choose to attend was the Halloween Dance. He made a pretty good Dracula.
I asked him if he had a good time, he said yes. I asked if he danced, he said yes to the Macarana. Evidently group dances are the way to go at 5th grade!

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Well this was the date...Elizabeth turned 21, where does the time go?
She celebrated by going to a casino with Dan's brother, Uncle Terry.
They evidently had a great time, of course, I was at home sleeping.
Evidently, when I was not looking I got old and tired!

September Passes!

Conner learned to ride his bike without training wheels!

He likes to think he is one of the big kids at the camper and he actually tries to do wheelies!

Gavin is getting bigger! Five months old already! Where does the time go?

Garrett thinks he is the bike trick master!

I am waiting for all of his teeth to be knocked out!

Conner celebrated birthday number 4!
I got angry with Wal-mart and Giant about his cake...so I made my own.

I think it turned out pretty well!

Family Camping

Well after the trip to Florida we spent 10 days at the camper. We had great fun as you can see!

At the beginning of the first weekend we were joined by my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave, and my cousin Marc and his daughter Sarah came along. They stayed in the new cabins, as you can see Sarah and Conner enjoyed playing in the loft of the cabin.

Even though we go to the camper to relax, it seems that there is always something to be done. We needed a new picnic table, so the boys all got to take part in building one!

So, the picnic table is now 8 foot long... they did a great job!

Conner wanted Poppy to take him to the mini golf everyday! Garrett spent most of his time riding bike, and competing in the Olympics.

One of everyone's favorite events is the tire roll. Conner rolled it three times further than anyone else in his age group.

Even Nanny Brenda got in on the tire roll after getting advice from Conner on what to do.

Emily had a great time, she spent the week with Craig and Nanny.

We got an obnoxious amount of medals during the week, it seemed that the age groups we competed in did not have very many participants. The boys kept their medals, but mine and Dan's are off to Florida to be donated to the special olympics. Here the boys display the medals they received in the tire roll competition.

Garrett loved the pool events, here he shoots for the hoop in the tube basketball competition.

He won the silver medal!

Gavin is GROWING!

Look how big...two months and almost 12 pounds

I think he is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen... of course I am a little biased! I also thought the same of his brother, uncle and mother!

2 Weeks in the SUN!

Well we left for Florida with my cousin Amy and her kids two days after school was out. It only took us about 15 hours to drive to Flordia from Lancaster. I believe that was pretty good time, but Amy said we were just motivated since we were traveling with four children, two - 3 year olds a 2 year old and a 10 year old! Amy drove most of the way, I drove the last two - three hours!

This is what I think is the BEST picture I took on the trip! It was the first full day we were in Florida on the dock at the Villages. The boys were being angels, and it didn't hurt that there was an alligator swimming in the water around the dock to hold their attention!

This picture is the boys the morning we went to Disney World. Amy got everyone matching shirts in an attempt not to loose any of them. It was a LONG, HOT day! The temperatures while we were in Florida were the hottest temperatures they have had in 3 years. But to see Mickey Mouse the kids were willing to endure anything.

This was at the character breakfast at Ohanas. We ate with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. The food was great as was the atmosphere. Mickey was the first to arrive so Conner was in heaven!

Well there are plenty of more pictures to come....stay tuned...

Updates Coming!

Well after several messages and a busy month I believe I will be able to update this blog in the next couple of days!

We have new pictures of Gavin who is getting BIG! Pictures from the trip to Florida and Disney World AND pictures from the 10 day camping trip and summer olympics at Hidden Valley!

There are a lot of pictures and hopefully I will get them posted soon!

Keep checking back....

The PInewood Derby

The car in the middle is Garrett's. He wanted it to look like a wedge.
He said, " If I loose, I will use it like a doorstop."

Evidently lining them up is important!

Garrett gets his medal for first place in his den.

Garrett and his car are on to the area council races on March 28th.

Just for Lois! The View on the Way Home!

Lois has been asking me to update the blog for a couple of weeks, so here it is!
I drove into a herd of deer on the way home Thursday night. I even got to see the one that is half white and half brown. It was a little odd looking. It was almost about dark, but I attempted to take a picture. Although you can't see the color of the deer, I think the picture is cool.

This was the first picture of the two that went in front of the car.

This is the second picture, I could not get all of the deer in the picture, the second one from the left is the white and brown one. The all white one was not with them this evening.

Christmas Again

Well this past weekend we finally got to celebrate Christmas with all my neices and nephews. And of course that means that they all have to pose for a photograph until Aunt Dee is happy! They all know that it is coming, and they can't have any presents until it is done. One would think that since they are all getting older this task would become easier, but not so much. I think it was easier when they were all younger.

So this is the picture, let's see if I can get all of the ages correct.

In the back, Emily 9, Garrett 9,

middle row from the left, Jack 15,Brandy 13, Elizabeth 20, Bobby 17

Front, Levi 7, Marc 2, Conner 3

I am sure that I will have a couple of them incorrect, but they are all close, and they are all getting big fast, where do the years go.

I think that my mom and Elizabeth spent a portion of the evening texting each other from across the room.

Well I think that everyone had a good time, we really should all get together more often, perhaps this is the year to make it happen.

Matching Hats

Conner has been having a problem at daycare with loosing his hat! Problem solved, Dan's mom made him a hat with his name knitted on it, no one is going to go home with his hat again.

She had made the hats for Elizabeth and Garrett years ago, and now Conner has one to match his coat. When Conner's arrived in the mail, Garrett immediately dug his out and has been wearing it!

My goal is to get Elizabeth to put her's on and get a picture of all three of them together, anyone think that is going to happen. (Come on Elizabeth, it is just one picture, find your hat.)

Thanks Grammy Elaine!

Snowy Weekend

Everyone enjoyed sledding.

I even went outside, I have decided I need snowpants.

Garrett is practicing his snowboarding.

Conner is getting better at getting back up the hill.

Dakota and Harley look as if they want back in the house, and when they are in, they just want out!
